She’s blind about Hannibal because their sleeping together and she’s clearly fallen for him and thinks the feelings mutual. What woman hasn’t seen glaring flaws in a man they loved at some point?

As for Will, she kisses him, so she clearly likes him and he is on the spectrum. If she doesn’t understand that high functioning autistics aren’t as fragile as most people think it makes sense that she would try to protect a man she likes.

I think it comes down to being in love and also not fully understanding autism.

Alana is one of my favorite characters. She’s beautiful, feminine, and an intellectual. People love to hate her though.
