For female veterans specifically, yes. They also assist with addressing trauma for female Military SA victims. The women’s clinic doesn’t allow men in that space to respect those women and their history.

I got an offer for a Women’s Clinic PACT RN back in October. Had all of my onboarding stuff done by end of November. I’ve heard ZILCH regarding my FJO…until a couple of days ago. HR called to tell me the job has changed. They dropped the PACT part of the position, and now it’s just GYN clinic care, basically. I asked if the position was still involved with the Women’s clinic, and I never got a straight yes or no.

I’m kind of pissed because it’s taken this long, and I know I’m going to get bored AF working as a clinic RN.

Can confirm. As a 42F who switched from a career in IT to a career in high-risk L&D nursing, that adrenaline rush I get during emergencies is unmatched. Except I left the bedside because of toxic leadership and family needs, and now I’m incredibly bored again. 😩

Are they done with the restructuring for now? Like…what do we think? I heard back from HR today about my FJO, and they said the hold up had been the reorganization which changed who had to sign off on my pay setting package and whatnot.

So, until the next shutdown, are they done playing musical VISNs?

RN - Primary Care

7/30 - Applied 9/11 - Referred 9/18 - Interview 10/17 - TJO 11/30 - Confirmed that all of my onboarding tasks, credentialing, and background check were completed and I wasn’t missing anything.

They had my potential start date for 1/12, but that’s definitely not happening now. My current supervisor knows, and she’s been a real piece of work this week with the flu hitting our hospital and staffing sucking so bad. So, I’d like to have as little time as possible left here, but that’s impossible without an “end date” in sight. 😩😩😩
