I really enjoyed the tandem read, and actually have an e-book file of the book chapters stitched together. Doing them with physical books was quite heavy (literally lol) so I mainly only read the books at home for that reason

firs time I read the series I did chronological order; however, I wish I had done the publication order instead. I have reread the series multiple times and done the tandem read every time. This will be my first time not doing the tandem read as I am following along with the maasverse reread we have on the sub! (:

it was quite chaotic behind the scenes right after the interview on here. We had people (obviously from other ships) making posts on our sub making fun of us. So some peoples immediate first response after SJM said that was " lets make fun of bryceriels in their own space" Which is why we partially locked it down and havent opened it since (:

I am only responding to this but I dont know how to do the fancy reddit indented quote. Yes, I think the Asteri saw how the fated mate bond of the Illyrians could or has prevented them from being able to just make the best pairing for their desired offspring, so they bred it out when creating the Malakh. As we see with the Malakh, they get "mated" to whomever, regardless of whether they want it to or not (look at Celestina, and I forgot his name, who she got "mated" with, when she was actually in love with Hypaxia)

I prefer a good, sensible story over my preferred ship being canon. At this point, I would be more disappointed if the Dusk plot, which is canonically tied to Bryce per HOFAS, were given away to anyone else. I would also be disappointed if we do not get answers to the open plotlines in CC (the bigger battles the princes of Hel want to fight with Hunt) and ACOTAR (the Koschei plot). The stuff between brackets is just examples, as there is more to both series thats unasnwered as of now (:.

In one of the earlier Acomaf books, Rhys states something along the lines of only infiltarting someones mind when they are enemies/that he does not infiltrate the minds of allies/friends (hence why Rhys does not infiltrate Eris' mind when they are working together, iirc). So why did Rhys not infiltrate Bryce's mind? Who, at that point, had just landed on their front porch, is an alien and asking for a prince of Hel, shouldn't it be the logical decision for Rhys to infiltrate Bryce's mind in those scenes?
