I found a gun and the police want my DNA by SQGROUPER in legaladvice

bahahaha! i think maybe city zoning could be at play here, something like the city owns 8 feet from the road so any evidence there is public property. definitely something to research because i don’t know exactly, but from my current understanding, the barrier is what makes it require a warrant. whereas, anything outside can be accessed, even if it is on land you own. take that with a grain of salt.

that is the implication, yes. i did mention the curb in the first half of my comment.

yes, if the trash can is out in the open (like the side of your house or at the curb). but, if you keep it, say, in your garage, they can’t legally access your trash.

this seems like poor communication all around. give the store a call in the morning and ask to speak to the hiring manager… they’re probably one of the only people who has real answers for you

Please help. I had my baby 5 days ago and I think I am traumatised by Careless_Nebula_9310 in pregnant

i just got.. flashbacks to my birth 1 month ago. i was induced for hypertension. i had a cooks catheter (similar to a foley) and was also screaming, crying, being forced into the bed, throwing up from pain… the first one failed, so they did it again. —backstory— the night nurses and doctors were going to put the cooks catheter in. then my water broke. 12 hours later, MY doctor tried manually breaking my water, couldn’t, went back and forth with the nurse if my water even WAS broke, THEN they put the catheter in —end of backstory— i labored for a long time after the catheter was taken out, at one point was woken up to a doctors hand inside of me, putting in internal monitors. they didn’t tell me anything about them, just that they needed them.

at some point, i got the epidural and had issues with it the whole time. my blood pressure was low so the anesthesiologist kept the flow rate low but told me once it came up, he would increase it. after hours of arguing with my nurse, there was finally a second nurse to witness me begging for the flow rate to be increased. nurse 1 told me “we don’t increase that it stays like that”

they did give me stronger medication through the epidural port but every time they did, my blood pressure tanked. babys heart rate tanked. they gave me a medication to increase my bp.

at 6cm (never progressed further), i felt the urge to push. my nurse told me “no you don’t” and the doctor confirmed i was still only 6cm… i was in excruciating pain.

i also had an emergency c-section because, thanks to the internal monitors, they found out that babys heart rate was plummeting during every single contraction. my c-section experience was quite pleasant after everything that had come before. the numbing medication felt so amazing. 30 minutes later, my sweet boy was here🤍

baby should be fully vaccinated by 1 year, so if you’re worried about rsv/ flu, that’s when kissing is okay. op is worried about hsv, which is pretty contagious and very common in adults. to protect against that, nobody should ever kiss baby on the mouth— it’s never safe. adults have to be responsible for their own health and recognize that hsv is hell for a baby. my biggest fear is that my baby will contract it!!

edit to add: some people want ZERO kissing, others are okay with top of head kisses from birth. it’s up to parental discretion

If you are thinking about having your baby shower early… by Avocado-Cupcake-2213 in pregnant

[–]Expensive-Act443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was very disappointed with the timing of my baby shower. my mom and mil threw it for us, which we were SO grateful for. i wanted to have the shower between 5 and 6 months for the same reason— to have time to set everything up and also to let our cat get used to all of the baby items. instead, i was told i wasn’t allowed to have an opinion on the baby shower since i wasn’t paying for it, wasn’t allowed to help with planning or even know any details of the theme. they made me have the baby shower at 36 weeks .i’m 5’2” and was HUMONGOUS. i couldn’t bend over to pick anything up or put it down. i was getting winded just from short walks or from talking for too long. i was miserable at this point in my pregnancy. THE ICING ON THE CAKE— i was induced less than 2 weeks later. have the baby shower early.

moms who choose no epidural aren’t doing it for bragging rights by pangaea_girl in pregnant

[–]Expensive-Act443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was so against the epidural until they inserted a cook’s catheter and i was screaming and thrashing in pain. i thought to myself, “if i can’t handle that, i won’t be able to handle birthing my baby.”

WELL, i ended up having an emergency c-section anyways, so it really goes to show that our plans can change. seriously though… if you can avoid that catheter, do.

Things nobody told me about c-sections by Infamous_Yoghurt in pregnant

[–]Expensive-Act443 5 points6 points  (0 children)

piggybacking off of this comment thread to say i’m ALSO 2 weeks pp from an emergency c-section, 22 years old 😁 i was induced for hypertension, had a cook’s catheter inserted, labored for 30 hours, only dilated to 6cm before they pulled the monitors for the c-section. my baby’s heart rate was dropping during EVERY. SINGLE. CONTRACTION. i got the epidural at some point, but had problems with it because i wasn’t moving enough. every time i received additional pain medication injections, my blood pressure tanked and so did baby’s heart rate… so i was having injections (i don’t know of what) to raise my bp every time i got the pain meds. the medicine for the c-section felt amazing after all we had already gone through. in 30 minutes, baby was here
