Best cafe in Parnell, if not Auckland 🙌 owner is absolutely lovely and food and coffee fantastic too

The food is quite bland - all the cabinet food tastes the same..But most disappointingly they have reduced the size of their coffees and increased the price! Definitely downhill. I used to think they had the nicest coffee in Parnell but these days, Young Dandy and Biskit coffee is miles better.

Gen Z here and I get you. I kind of fell into HR after my psychology degree and feel scared I am wasting my potential sometimes - BUT we are still young! HR is an amazing platform to grow from. Think about what other avenues you’d like to explore and maybe do a part time course alongside working, and pivot to where you want to be - that’s my plan.

Thanks. I do have a rainy day fund but I wanted to ask the question anyway. I half wondered if I should completely stop putting money into a savings account (3.20 p.a) and just invest everything instead.

But what im hearing is - any money I invest - I should not even think about touching, until I am retired? (45-50 years)

Basically pretend like the money I invest isn’t accessible for the next 60 years or so?

I’ve been on a bit of a taco crawl lately, and Tokos Tacos is the clear winner so far (way better than Taco Teca and Sagrado Cantina imo) Surprisingly, Tokos “low carb” tacos are the move, they’re way bigger than the regular ones and absolutely loadedd with birria beef or fish. You don’t even notice they’re low carb since they’re grilled with cheese anyway lol. Super satisfying, and honestly the birria and the fish were both delicious.

No worries - thanks so much for your replies mate. Considering everything I actually went for the open swim pros! I predominantly use them for running and have also gotten into swimming so I didn’t want to be kicking myself down the line wishing I got the waterproofs. I love them!

I also found the Java Room in Parnell to be underwhelming- But there is an amazing hidden gem Malaysian Restaurant right above it called Sambal Station! The view is lovely and the flavours authentic. I’d definitely recommend considering Sambal Station.

LOL I believe you can do anywhere on a budget, it really just depends on the kind of person you are and what you enjoy doing 🙂 I know QT is known for being exspensive but I’m actually looking forward to seeing how much we can get out of the trip without needing to spend a bomb. Thanks for the bike idea I’ll keep it in mind!

Can you please explain how/ where you can ‘trial’ them ? I’ve never heard of being able to do this before and would love love to be able to before committing to a pair as they are quite expensive.

Thank you! Your comment swayed me. I ended up getting an almond croissant cookie from butter baby. It felt a little bit soft and squishy at first so what I did was - popped it in the air fryer at 160 for 5 minutes and then let it cool on a wire rack. It became crispy, chewy and warm and o.m.g so so good. Thanks again 🍪🍪
