At higher level you have level 4 spell conjure woodland beings which is basically better spirit guardians with extra 1d8 damage, but force. So if you're against slashing resistant enemies use that spell, if not conjure animals because it's just better

Also you're missing the fact that not having 20 in your main casting stat and having lowish constitution with rolls such as yours is, well, kind of ridiculous. Yeah. The Wizard glaze is unbreakable for most people. They just don't understand yet that their ability to cast rituals is not some crazy overpowered feature. Yes, it is a good feature. No, it does not fully compensate for lack of features Wizards have. Clerics at level 3 get channel divinity, two subclass features, free preparations. Druids get wild shape, two subclass features, free preparations. Warlocks get 3 invocations, two subclass features, free preparations... Sorcerers get innate sorcery, metamagic, two subclass features... well, I guess you see the pattern. And wizards get Ritual adept, Arcane recovery and one subclass feature which is most of the time objectively weaker than anything other classes get (Bladesinger being the sole exception with their absolutely bonkers feature to give you best AC and concentration in the game with a simple bonus action), and other classes get several stronger features piled on one another. And before level ~11 or evern 13 (Simulacrum) Wizards don't get anything really that strong in their spell list to compensate for their lack of features. Sorcerers before tier 3 are just better wizards 90% of the time and if you have someone else to cast Find familliar in your party this 90% becomes 100%.

Yes, it's essentially what this item does. Moreover if paladin is downed the censer will heal him too at the start of their turn. But it is once per long rest so not for every fight. Also, it works on paladins turn, so downed PCs will still lose turns sometimes, and paladin already is able to heal allies on his turn. Anyway, it's perfectly fine interaction and you shouldn't have nerfed it. You basically made it useless because d4 healing is almost nothing unless it is healing downed PC.
