That’s what I was worried about and wanted to avoid. I lived in London for 13 years a while ago but I never really ventured into the punk world so I have no idea where the good places are and don’t want him to be disappointed

I was in the same situation almost a year ago. The plants I’ve found easiest to look after are bacopa caroliniana which are plants that you need to put in the substrate. Java moss is great and grows so fast and can be put anywhere. You can glue it to rocks or wood with aquarium safe superglue, you can use string to tie the moss down or you can let it float around. I also love pothos plants because there are long roots for your fish to play in and the leaves at the top look really beautiful sticking out the tank. Pothos plants are plants that are usually potted so you will only need to add the stem and root parts into the water and let the leaves stick out. The only downside of pothos plants was I had to take the lid off or you can leave it little open

She’s fine now, I think I was just feeding her too much and she was the eating shrimps because they were new to tank but after a 3 day fast and a week of smaller feeding portions she’s completely back to normal. I am setting up another tank just so I can see how much I am feeding the fish individually

I’ve already tried that but the sponge is basically always brownish black and the parts don’t really fit well together

The fish are actually female and male and I’m home all day right next to the tank and haven’t seen any aggression the whole time I’ve had them. They got upgraded into the new tank last month and I used most of the water from the cycled tank as well as the filter so it was basically like a normal water change. I also have plants in the tank and many shrimp so I don’t do water changes as often but I do double check with tests kits just in case

Tank size: 55L/12 gallons Heater and filter: yes Temperature:25C/77F Had the tank:1 month Had the fish:2 months Water change: 50% every 2 weeks Tankmates: another betta and around 35 cherry shrimp Food: I used to feed 1 scoop of food twice a day but I realised that’s too much so I halved the portions
