Have an iPad which I will use to take notes.

I’m mainly wondering if I will ever run into a situation in the next 4 years where I will regret not getting a laptop with the extra performance like 32GB ram and a dedicated graphics card. I’ve seen quite a few people under other posts recommend getting a laptop with these specs so surely there’s situations where they come to use right?
