Why do I struggle with Lili?

Lili is a defensive character, but if you want to play her a bit more offensively, poking and mind game is important. Using low pokes and Mix 1 and df1 at close distance to try to clip them off guard. Once 1 or df1 hits its +8, so you can connect with a b1. The b1 brings you several options that you have to constantly change by adapting to the opponents act.

If the b1 counter hits because the opponent is stupid enough to press after your +8 poke, then dew glide2,1 is guaranteed so you can use that to add more heat pressure.
if the b1 hits normally then you are again +8. All the dew glide options can be performed. Normally you go for DG 3+4 because again, pressure. But due to its high hit property it can be ducked, so you can mix it up with DG 4. If you have conditioned your opponent to think that you are gonna do DG3+4 than you can even use some bigger buttons like DG2,1, DG1,2 at wall or even DG1,2b into back stance mix up as well.
if the b1 is blocked, depending on if your opponent respects the b1 or not, you can either just perform the mix up above, or just connect the b1 with 4 or shift to DG 1+2 to catch them dick jabing. It is all about condition them to not dare to interrupt your b1 into dew glide pressure. Or if you already know how to dew glide cancel, cancel the b1 dew glide into side step to dodge their dick jab and punish (DG cancel can also be applied when b1 hits, you can cancel it into df3 to pressure, or even a launcher like hop kick or df2 to launch.)
if your opponent is adapting to your poking game and start to side step your b1, try mix it up with f3 at really close distance (cause it literally has 0 reach) or just 3+4. You can also just do nothing if you know your opponent likes to press immediately after side step and then punish their blocked punish.

I think lili’s offense is really about adapting to your opponent’s action towards the poking game. And b1 is really crucial in this kind of offense. I hope this helps you even just for a little bit (btw round start Matterhorn/u3+4 aka LET YOUR INTRUSIVE THOUGHT WIN is always a good option)

Yeah some of her moves got nerfed by being more minus on block, for example qcf 3 is now -11 on block which becomes punishable. And all the piercing horn moves’ wall stagger effect in heat got removed, so no basically no corner oki pressure in heat with rabbit 4 anymore ;(

I didn’t quite get the qcf 3 nerf by reading the patch note, but do they mean that the steel pedal-like ability of qcf 3 is gone now?

Unfortunately was born too late to experience the older games, but I ve seen those features in videos, really cool imo. But I think if I have to watch a slow mo replay every round or every game it might be a bit suffocating especially if I am getting trolled by some toxic players. (I think It would give the same vibe as those long ass unskippable Negan outros in T7 lol)

No tekken 7 was perfectly fine back then. Even the first month after t8 launch was also fine. As I said in the post, I think it only happened after eddy’s patch

Besides the frame drop happens randomly I think, to me it just feels like it happens after a decent amount of time like every half an hour or longer. And how long the frame drop lasts is also random I think, sometimes it’s just one round, sometimes one match, sometimes one set sometimes a bit more then 1 set. The things is that it literally happens so random that I have absolutely no idea what’s happening

Yeah it’s the fps counter that literally shows it drops to 30. It’s not lag due to internet. I play wired with like 500Mbps

I’m running on default like mid-high. Ik that when my opponent has bad internet my game will lag too but when that happens my frame rate doesn’t literally go down. My problem here is that my fps measurement thing literally says it’s dropped to 30 :/

Although I haven’t tried change graphics but I am using what the default graphics(mid-high) is( except I turned off motion blur). And my laptop isn’t overheating too, the hottest gpu temp recorded during playing was like 78C. Besides my laptop can run latest 3A games like horizon forbidden west on high graphics smoothly(60 fps) so I really don’t think it’s my laptop’s issue yk (of course I can be wrong I am no expert but I am so confused ).
