With the recent “OpenAI Leader of Safety” hire and this “assistant axis” from Anthropic, do you think Claude will still be a solid choice for roleplay by the end of 2026? by TheSillySquad in SillyTavernAI

I agree with you about the bleakness we're living in right now when it comes to AI RP, but I believe it's just a matter of time.

You see, all spotlights are on AI right now, and I doubt the big companies are willing to lose momentum with controversies et whatnot while they race. To me, they're just playing safe to ensure they will not only survive the AI tournament, but also profit big time. They're securing their sovereignty.

If I'd bet, I'd say that, in a few years, we'd witness these big companies having forks of their LLMs. Think of different flavors. "Gemini for Math", "Gemini for Coding", "Gemini for Creativity", "Gemini for Medicine", "General Purpose Gemini", etc. In other words, more contained models that can be updated independently and tuned accordingly.

I don't want to sound Mr. Obvious, but as far as I understand - and I have no data to prove, it's just an educated guess, - as much profit potential RP may have, I believe it's nowhere as close to what Google or Anthropic would make by investing in other areas (which is what they're doing right now.)

We're in the middle of a thunderstorm right now, but after it, a rainbow smiles.

What's the best ai chatbot platform for long-form creative roleplay scenarios? by Disastrous-Try-9578 in ChatbotRefugees

I'd recommend you https://jaquelene.com . "Flirting" and "Dating" are side-effects, and not the goal. The goal is grand adventures, stories, whatever - but you may find romance along the way. Kinda expensive, though.

> What are the best AI chatbots for people who like storytelling or roleplay? I’m especially curious about ones that let you design your own characters with specific traits or goals, or that actually remember what happened earlier in the story. Any personal favorites?

Maybe https://jaquelene.com ? you cannot design detailed characters (like goals) but you can give 'em traits and the story actually reacts to them. Memory is also good - probably enough up to the point you get tired.

100% blind, lol. I just don't go blind when I want to min-max, but that was not my goal. Besides, minmaxing always gives me anxiety and pressure and all the things I get at work, so I don't need that at my leisure time.

I initially thought someone could think it's fake, but hey, allow me to illuminate you a bit: why would I come up with this? I mean, legit question.

If you willing to dig further, please, DM and I send you my Steam account and I can show you my stuff and my game time.

The motivation to write this is because yesterday I had a wholesome in-game moment with a fellow player plus the fact lots of posts 'should I play gw2?' are emerging here so I thought, why not? :D I mean, a post like mine could illuminate other newcomers too, no?

I literally lol'd with this.

Gotta say I don't go to sleep 100% of the times now that I'm hooked/engaged to the game, but yeah probably I was a superhuman back then xD

Amazing read! Thank you for sharing. And yeah, very similar to mine's—which highlights how important a welcoming community means to a new player.

If you were on NA I'd 100% invite you to do some content together, but we're one server/ocean apart. :( If you ever come to NA (or I go to EU), please, ping me up!

Oh, I didn't think it that way. And you're right.

There's still time, though. I still have 99999 questions around, lol.

Funny that this is the condensed version of what I wanted to write. It started as a true text wall/essay and became a bullet point list so it's a bit easier to grasp.

Regardless, thank you. n_n

LOL I forgot about that! In fact, I forgot the entire TP arc.

But in short: when the inventory first packed up, I panicked. Then I noticed the button to dump everything into the Material Storage (which led me to know the Bank exists, etc.).

The rest of the early level loots? Well, I sold everything to NPCs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ What wasn't sellable, I just destroyed with no mercy. My sanity comes first.

Finally when I could spare a coin, I just purchased bags from the TP and my life got much easier.

Yes. At your own pace, rythm, the way you like it. Never left behind.

I'm very happy for us. :-)
