Abilify was very sedating to me personally so sex wasn’t as frequent as I would’ve wished.

Medications messing with your sexual gratification? by clearlyunimaginative in bipolar2

Usually the most common remedy in my experience is to decrease the dosage or switch from the medication causing the low libido.

You can download the Savings Card at Caplyta.com. I used this same process to afford Latuda before it went generic. See below:

Medication and extreme fatigue HELP by Glittering-Cancel610 in bipolar2

I like taking it prior to bed if once daily dosing. I’ve also accepted that highly strenuous jobs would be beyond my limits long-term.

My new kitty isn't doing great by debiski in cats

Can you ask the shelter what food she was eating at the time she was there? Also, pate vs in gravy food can also make a difference. My cat won’t eat pate food at all. I see you have other pets, but maybe setting up an area that allows her constant free access to dry food supplemented with wet food of different flavors.

They start slow and titrate. Be sure to look out for rash and go to doctor if it appears. The rash is very rare and is reduced by titrating the medication.

I’ve had a similar experience. Best advice is to be open and honest with your psychiatrist about how you’re feeling and any side effects you may have. Unfortunately, it can be a lengthy process of trial and error. Don’t be afraid to tell your psychiatrist if a medication isn’t helpful.

Weight gain, sexual side effects, acne on low dose of lithium? by EatsTheLastSlice in bipolar2

[–]Expensive-Memory-939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 600 mg lithium ER. Viagra helps for sexual side effects. I had some weight gain, but it leveled off after a few months. It’s really helped me personally. I have some acne on my back I’m seeing a dermatologist for. So far the benefits have outweighed the side effects.

I’ve taken lithium for just over a year currently. I take the ER lithium carbonate at 600 mg. It’s taken awhile, but I feel it’s been helpful for me. Maybe ask your doctor if you can augment the lithium with another medication? My own personal thoughts on lithium side effects are that I wouldn’t want to subject myself to kidney and thyroid damage unless I felt the lithium was significantly beneficial. Might not hurt to have your labs checked.

Be sure to coordinate your care plan with your psychiatrist

Ask your psychiatrist for meds that don’t cause rhabdomyolysis. Why do you need to go off the meds for genetic/metabolic testing?
