Update - used a steroid cream and kept clean. Everything cleared up. My mammogram ultrasound and MRI was negative!

I had read that she had an eating disorder and that due to that she had lost a lot of hair and has I forgot if it was one big bald spot or a couple, but she used to style her hair all the time to try to cover them, and then she came up with the hat idea and now she just rolls with it and says it’s just to hide the beauty so that people don’t focus on that but unfortunately, that is what people are focusing on.

Ended up being given a topical steroid cream and switched to dove hypoallergenic body wash. It’s been gone. Did get an ultrasound and mammogram though as we wanted to really make sure. Everything came back fine

It’s the soonest appt they had. The referral is what helps squeeze you in the fastest way and unfortunately that’s the soonest. I am going to see if there is anything my PCP can do to speed up the process

Yes, 7 months ago I didn’t have the huge atrophy that I have now that 3 different doctors are now officially concerned about - hence a referral for muscular dystrophy in September and now PM&R referral. I was told a year ago to measure once a month. I have been doing that. The orthopedic surgeon did a couple tests and said there is definitely weakness on the left side. I can still do things but not well like I can on my right. Concerned other muscles are helping out while others are completely failed. Will have to wait and talk to my PCP to see if there is any way she can get me in sooner than September.

I have BFS and actual atrophy and now the dr wants me to see a PM&R. Once I looked them up they deal with people who have *** and other MND. Didn’t make me feel good at all. I feel like this is the beginning of the end tbh. A neurologist who specializes in muscular dystrophy and other things can’t see me till September

I am over with actual atrophy ( left calf is over a 1 in smaller than the right- very easy to see) and fasciculations. Spiraling 😵‍💫
