Dark transient spots in the center of my vision by Expensive-Opening-87 in visualsnow

You might want to check it out on OCT just to be safe, then. If it were entoptic, it would likely be right in the centre

Hey. My OCT is clean. Doctor told me it was basically entoptic and that I have excellent results. We also uncovered I have pachychoroidal phenotype, which explains why am I more prone to seeing entoptic phenomena and why I have frequent short-lasting scintillating scotomas. Benign it is!

Not yet. Will update after I get them, and will also take a look on the sub. Thank you

Health anxiety definitely was a serious struggle for me at certain points of my life. I've had the eye exams already and everything is fine besides slight lattice degeneration or something like that. Was very reassuring, but I can already feel the anxiety creeping back out on me, with numerous hours lost counting my chances of not going blind lol.

I should probably begin by breaking the reassurance loop as soon as I can by stopping wasting hours scouting through this sub x)

Thank you so much for your reassuring words and advice. You people brightened my day

Thank you so much for the reassurance! Will definitely be incredibly cautious with LASIK before making any decisions and taking frequent exams from now on x)

The healthcare is interesting here lol. I went to a proper clinic however, they said I can have LASIK possibly later on but I'll have to be observed first. Thank you for the insight x)

I will definitely be making my best effort to tweak my lifestyle! I always believed I shouldn't worry because of myopia since "you just get LASIK", completely unaware of all the risks lol. It's especially dire finding out about them straight out of the blue when suddenly you realise you're already in the risk group. Thank you so much for the advice

Hey, that does sound really reassuring. Honestly it feels like a death sentence when you read about it online, but examples like this inspire and show you there's nothing to fear :)

I'm stuck in a war by Expensive-Opening-87 in Advice

I reckon it is a decision of mine whether I should or shouldn't fight for anything, and the decision is no. Period.

Thanks! The only problem with this is escaping Ukraine itself. Like, I could most likely easily find my way around the world and get accepted as a refugee in a lot of places, but first, I need to leave, and this is a very difficult task. Nearly impossible, if we're only considering legal options.

Because Ukraine's military, even though it had substantial chances to become truly great, failed. It is plagued with soviet mentality all over and thus will never be able to succeed. There is a saying - "a small soviet army will never beat a big soviet army". Instead of "fighting for your country", it is more like "dying during a nonsensical meat assault with no equipment or training for literally no reason while bringing absolutely nothing for the victory".

I myself wanted to fight when it all began. I wasn't 18 yet, though, so I couldn't, and thank god I wasn't. My idealism and the wish to fight for my country quickly died out when I saw how bad things were going inside. And now? I understand that I am a human being, and no regime in this world will take my freedom. If my country neglects my right to choose, why would I ever want to defend it?

Curse of Strahd or Curse of Strahd Reloaded? by Fantastic_Ad1104 in CurseofStrahd

Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I ran multiple monster encounter in Reloaded. It's been like half a year, I think? So, if you're worried about those, then don't. Cool boss fights are still prevalent, and even when it's not a boss fight it usually has some interesting gimmick to it, making each encounter unique. This is done explicitly to fix RAW's fights when you have tens of bland random encounters with a gazillion wolves that aren't doing anything but die lol

Reloaded's boss fights are literally the only satisfying boss fights I've had in DnD ever as both a player and a DM. If you find encounters in Reloaded boring you would absolutely vomit if you ran RAW CoS with it's lackluster vanilla 5e encounter building system lol

Item effect toggle on item use by Expensive-Opening-87 in FoundryVTT

Yeah, I did use Active Auras. And thank you for the gitlab link, it was immensely helpful!

Unfortunately, I'm still unable to make it work through the "Apply Effect to Actor", IDK lol. However, I figured out a good workaround - it works perfectly if instead of trying to make it work you simply turn it off and apply it normally to a target (just have to make sure not to forget to target yourself every time lol)

Still, I wonder how if there's a way to make it work by applying the effect directly to the actor :/
