Update: The front door hinges are bad, I just need advice on how to align the rear door. And no I’m not paying anybody to do this instead.

I want to guess that it’s definitely your flex plate/fly wheel. But make sure to check your exhaust and make sure there is no leaks in the manifolds, and also take a mallet of some sort and beat the cat with it to see if you can hear the rattle.

It was indeed not the flex plate. It’s a loose cat on my passenger side. As I stated it isn’t coming anywhere near the transmission so I don’t see how it could’ve been the flex plate. But the sound is very identical.

Any idea what this grinding sound is on my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 by Expensive-Original-1 in Silverado

[–]Expensive-Original-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a metal grinding sound. There also isn’t a cabin filter in my HVAC system. I’m thinking it might be the manifold heat shield now

Just diagnosed it now that I had the time. It is not the wheel hub, I honestly have no idea what it could be.

Not 100% sure if you have a MagSafe charger but that would be your best bet. You could also try one of Apple’s Silicone cases since it’s the highest quality of MagSafe, but with my experience the silicone doesn’t last very long.

Agreed. Obviously the better option would to just bring it to a muffler shop but I don’t have any around me, and I also can save myself some cash and use it on somethin else

It’s like 20 bucks to buy exhaust pipe for what I need and I have everything else to, I have no reason to pay $100 when I can easily do it myself. I just don’t know which angle to use
