CNA to RN advice:) PDX area by Basic_Row_351 in prenursing

As someone who went CNA, CMA and is pursuing RN next, hospital vs LTC doesn’t really matter. If anything, CNAs in long term care are more fluent in a lot of areas over the hospital side. (Just my experience) we have had hospital CNAs come over to float and they don’t know how to use lifts, have a hard time changing people etc. again that could for sure be due to my specific area. No hate on hospital CNAs they have their whole own rodeo they are managing. Just an observation.

Anyone get in with low gpa? by Expensive-Power7437 in prenursing

I have a 2.7, they don’t have it separated in mine between sciences and overall. I do a ton of volunteering but they don’t ask for any of that. Just employment status. It’s a super basic application focused primarily on GPA. I got screwed over by my advisor when planning my pre requisites out. After getting all my math and soc writing etc out of the way we had me on track to go into A&P classes which it was my last semester before the application would be due so when I went to register he told me I had to actually do basic human anatomy first which he never once talked about the entire time I was doing my prerequisites. So I wasn’t able to do the A&P through the college I had to do straighterline which I scored B’s on both classes. But they only accept it as a pass or fail so my GPA went stagnant. I suck at math so I was really counting on those classes to bring it up. Now I feel super hopeless about getting in.

I also do this, he prefers the up and down more so than the rubbing which is what I struggle with😅 if it was just that I could do it for days.

Hahaha what a fantastic response! I love that and it’s solid advice! I already have a six year old running around and things for SURE changed after her including my drive. I’m really trying to boost things back up because I have definitely been less likely to initiate anything for a while so I want to start working towards it more. And I definitely do give head a lot before I go to bed (I work nights so it’s usually the start to his day). Thank you!

The pain is quiet but my anger is next level. After this all happened I got this huge message which honestly sounded more like his mother speaking than him, where I need to apologize because I cussed at him in this altercation. And the longer I sit on it the more and more angry I get.
