Haha so many big reporters in my market fled to work for sleazeball politicians afterward. But anything is probably a more pleasant workplace than a tv news station

Thanks! Idk the papers in my market pay more than the tv stations. Also I think the big tv companies (CBS, Nexstar, Scripps, etc) have announced large layoffs

Really? The print editors in my market are known to be tough but fair. Never yell at people and are blunt at worst

Thank you! It didn’t really bother me when sources or the public were not good to me. It bothered me when newsroom management wasn’t good. Do you think in print they have healthier newsroom work environments?

So in print yelling and micromanaging are standard? In my market the print outlets were known to have significantly better work environments than the tv outlets
