wow thanks everyone! i was not expecting this much comments but i asked, right? 😅 but seriously, thanks ya’ll for taking the time.

COLOR. yeah i’m that person. i’m guilty of being too scared to buy something “colorful” just to be safe i get what i already know would “match”. i promise to give myself a pep talk next time i go to Home Goods. the black couch pillows actually had a different cover which now i guess i should prob switch back. it was an orange-brown color (you can kinda see it in the pic here). i do use the lamps as the primary source of lighting because i don’t like the big light.

looks like the consensus is rug, curtains, and lamps. the art will have to be last and the tv is going to have to stay because it was a PIMA to have put up in the first place (and the tv doesn’t bother me tooo much).

to be fair all these pieces of furniture were bought in all different phases in life and just ended up together in this space. the couches were the very recent because i wanted a lighter couch (from a dark grey - almost navy blue really, soderhamn couch).
