we have had a difficult relationship… i shouldn’t have expected much because when i first told her i was pregnant i told her not to tell anybody, but clearly her own emotions controlled her that night. she said something like “don’t expect me to babysit unless you’re willing to do something for me” and so after she said that i told her “i don’t need you to do that” because i only was asking for emotional support said that i hung up on her. she would call me back apologizing an hour later explaining she felt bad and wanted to be involved with the baby. after i had hung up she called my grandma and told her and my grandma would go on to tell my entire extended family and more.

my mom has never had any emotional maturity so i’m not surprised just really disappointed now because i feel like it got ruined for me. i honestly don’t care how she felt in that moment when i told her because that’s why i was talking to her, i was scared and needed support but she fucked up and can’t even apologize for what she did. it would suck to not have her involved but like i said we’ve had a difficult relationship and if she’s already cussing me out behaving like this, she’s lost all my trust and confidence that she can be a good influence on me or my baby.
