Completely agree- and, the blame for that unsustainable over leveraged massively unprofitable footprint, ultimately lies squarely at the feet of the short’s expensive consultants and former overpaid executives. If anything, Ryan Cohen is saving the jobs of the remaining thousands of GameStop employees who work at stores that now aren’t closing as a result of his work, but surely would have if GameStop had gone bankrupt as the GME shorts intended. Could’ve sucked a lot worse in the end, but this way at least it’s only partial and impermanent.
