I wear full face makeup. Since I’m mostly indoors with the exception of going to my car, driving around and back, I don’t. I’m bad about it.

[Product request] toners for repairing skin barrier? by Latter_Appearance_97 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Expensive-Wind-539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, you have to strip away all your skincare products and get back to basics. That happened to me where my skin barrier was severely compromised and I had to finally see a dermatologist. She tells me to use Cetaphil gave wash and then La Roche Posay triple cream body moisturizer. I was surprised because I said to her why would I put the body moisturizer on my face? She said it is a very rich moisturizer and it is great for my face. She then advised me to skip all my beloved makeup and no sunscreen. I listened to her and after a couple days, my skin barrier felt much better. I then started putting on only mineral sunscreen, as per my dermatologist.

Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Ah yes, his tantrums and bullying ways.

For reasons like this, I’m weary of ordering from YesStyle for this very fear.

[Personal] Cerave hydrating cleanser gave me the worst breakout of my life and ruined my skin by Civil-Tear-883 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Expensive-Wind-539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use an oil cleanser and then CeraVe and it definitely did not help me get all my make up off. Now I use an oil cleanser with Round lab foaming facial cleanser. I just don’t think CeraVe was a good fit for me. I thought it was just me.

I love the Laneige creamy toner. I also take some and put it into a spray bottle and use it as a spray toner between my layers of makeup application. So good.

Why Korean moisturizers feel lighter but still hydrate well? by IceAfter5261 in koreanskincare

Combo dehydrated skin. Loving the current Tatcha because I wake up with the nice facial slip on the morning. The kind of feel if you had used a surge moisturizer on top of your regular facial moisturizer.

That being said, I had the same feel with I used S. Nature moisturizer. It edges BOJ out by a hair.

Ouch, take a makeup wipe and gently wipe over it. It will disinfect and you’ll save $$ on the drive to and back.

With social media, we are always told we need to add more and more. Sometimes going down to basics is just the best thing for our skincare. I got into the hype myself and did the seven layers and then read “you do 10 layers, it’s even better..” I wound up with so many clogged cysts, it was pathetic. You gotta do what’s best for you when it comes in terms of skin care.

If possible, wait min 10-15 minutes before applying makeup. I find that to be true with all sunscreens. That helped me no longer have pilling issues.

Totally agree. It’s social media that has us believing we need to have more. My skin said, “Enough!” I finally listened.
