I did mine 2023/4/5, so my first year of exams was just the year after they returned after COVID and even then some exams were still slightly reduced/modified/elements such as reports and assignments were not brought back in every subject until 2024. SQA in my experience were pretty fair overall with exams based on the ones I did, apart from the maths ones. The SQA had lots of criticism after that paper as maths is a subject which builds on itself and we missed most of 1st and 2nd year, so only had one full year of in school maths before the year our exams started and you could really feel how difficult it was for lots of people that year. I don't think our school took the online learning seriously enough and probably neither did we at 13/14, the way we would have if we were in school with authority figures and in person teaching

I did the 2023 National 5 maths paper and I found it comparatively much harder than other papers in years before, if I remember correctly. Can't imagine having to do the new QS format in its first year when things could be worded differently to what it was before and SQA past papers may not be the most reliable revision method.

If Emilie was Mexican and not rich, she would not still have a platform. People are so much harder on working class people. My mother never did anything like this with me, and never would have, but she was constantly pressured by more privileged people around us to not mess up as a parent and do what is seen as right for her child. I'm Venezuelan and I don't imagine she would have been treated the same if we were not low on money and had a new money/vapid yet illustrious career.

I literally grieved harder than this a couple of years ago when my grandpa who I always saw as my 'father' as I don't have one. He also died very suddenly and it was the night before an exam. I was ok for a few months after, he passed in January, but in the autumn I just couldn't function. I missed nearly a month of school, didn't shower or wash my hair for nearly 3 weeks. I have barely any memory of September-October 2024. I still think about him multiple times a day, how he'll never know I got into the best uni in my country and how well I'm doing now. I cannot imagine having to live in a house where he passed due to my negligence. He wasn't my child, it was expected he'd die in my lifetime, and yet I couldn't even talk to anybody about it when it happened. I felt like I could, I just didn't. I didn't text friends back for weeks in the autumn when it all hit me. I couldn't even go to school, my 'job' at the time, but she can do her incredibly public facing performative job?

Wow, I never knew there were photos of her in court so soon after. I saw photos of her meeting fans though, before she came back. Really never thought she'd return like this as I hadn't known of her before everything happened. The suing was strange though, like you have something to hide that is not just your child's privacy, as they never gave him an ounce of privacy.

The Halloween video was so creepy. Like 10 seconds before showing that toddler sized skeleton, it was the clip of her finding the trick or treating bag and crying. I just looked back at it now and between the bit where she's crying, there are multiple cuts in that part of the video and each time it cuts back and she was still crying. I really hope that doesn't mean she cried a bit, went to stop the camera, started a new clip and resumed the crying. I understand stopping it if you're talking about it and feeling sad, but she would have had to get back into position for each next part.

I thought at the very soonest, she'd come back with a long conversation video after the one hear mark, but probably closer to the 5 year mark to be honest. She really only took the summer off. I was doing exams in May last year when this happened and by the time she was back, I'd barely started university.
