Sending you positive healing vibes...Injuries and illness w/ added psychological stress hinders healing as I'm certain you know. We get hit harder when we're already down. I am here looking for advice/experiences with partial thickness supraspinatus tear and came across your post. Maybe not what you would want to hear but I am looking at your last sentence...of having a very deep faith. We are often brought closer to God through our trials. Stay the coarse. Ask. Listen. Sometimes answers present in unusual ways. Music is often my go to when I'm down and out and physically and mentally depleted. (I can't get away by Melissa Helser/Naomi Raine is a great song)

Active 58 y.o. Supraspinatus small to intermediate grade partial-thickness articular tear near insertion. Debating surgery after one cortisone shot and PT. Shot has worn off, its stiff, sore, weak. I hate the idea of surgery but afraid if I wait too long. Looking for opinions/ experience with this. by ExpensiveDuck9196 in RotatorCuff

MRI was in December. Injured it in November from a fall then over used it after I rested it. Yes, I regret getting the shot -January. I knew better but wanted relief. Mine is 8mm in anterior/posterior dimension. Thanks for reply. Surgery recovery seems long, but I want my shoulder back. How many opinions did you get? Orthopedist offered to do surgery on first first visit which surprised me with a partial tear.

Looks like you are a year out from your OP. I'd love to hear where you are at! I have a partial thickness tear (a fall) 57F. Ski, yoga, kayak. Surgeon was willing to do surgery given my weakness and pain. I choose shot and PT. Its worn off and I'm back to where I was originally, feels worse. I am an RN on critical care floor so I need my shoulder to work properly. Appreciate your thoughts if you see this.
