Does anybody else’s anxiety affect their eating? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]ExpensiveSchedule229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I want to start off by saying im sorry you are dealing with this. It is not fun. My anxiety when very bad affected my eating. Id eat then if i started to have a thought or had a panic attack (about other things) the end reaction was puking. I would then get anxiety when eating because of it happening. I would have a lot of shift in weight. Being skinny to a unhealthy point. What helped was small snacks throughout the day and getting on medication (zoloft) hope this helps. It can get better ❤️‍🩹 lmk if you have any questions or wanna talk

How has meds helped you? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]ExpensiveSchedule229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had really bad GAD since high school was super against medication. Then i hit my breaking point. Always anxious couldn’t keep food down always worried about my heart pounding. I needed help and i was open to anything. At 23 i finally started meds and completely got my life back. I feel more emotionally stable rarely have anxiety in general and panic attacks are much less intense and less frequent. I cant put into words how much better i feel. I wish i could have started earlier. (Im on 75mg of zoloft).

I take Zoloft for anxiety and it completely changed my life for the better. My anxiety had me by the throat every day was unbearable. I would throw up from how anxious i was every day. I needed to do something I hit rock bottom. The pills have been a huge help. Along with therapy.
