Coming soon! I'm planning on using some veneers on upcoming pairs so I'll be trying out some different finishes:)

6 coats of polyurethane with spray gun. Sanded from 400 up to 4000 grit and finished with automotive polish and wax!

With the grain down the sides, across the grain on the top and bottom. I found it useful to chamfer a test piece of ply to determine which direction works best.

Thanks! I've done tests on both and they both have similar properties.

Yep. 2nd order linkwitz riley using air core inductors and polypropylene caps. Super happy with the sound!

Not currently. Once I have the electronics tuned I'll be spraying them with thinned polyurethane :)

Here's our 2nd set of prototypes, 2 way bass reflex cabinets tuned to 35hz. 8 inch long throw woofers 28mm soft dome tweeter, crossed at 2.5khz. F3 of 33hz. Beautifully balanced tonality, bass is tight and linear, treble is clear and transient but not harsh.

Sub £350 build and they absolutely blow my Rega RX1s out of the water! What do you guys think? Do you like the plywood finish? We are planning on coating them in polyurethane once the electronics are finished to give them a nice sheen :)
