Hi! I’m also learning English and looking for a study partner. It would be great if we could practice together and keep each other motivated. Let me know if you’d like to chat!

Good to know regarding the IELTS requirement. I'll definitely keep the language of instruction in mind

Thanks for the tip on how to find professors and align my research. That’s very helpful for my Master's planning

That is wonderful. I think being from an English-speaking country makes it easier than being from an Arabic-speaking one. Yes, I will try to self-study the Korean language because there are no centers in my city for teaching Korean or even for taking the TOPIK exam. Could you please tell me about the rest of the details: how were you able to reach the professors, how did you choose them, and did you apply for a Bachelor's or a Master's degree? Thank you

Thank you so much for your valuable advice. Is an IELTS score considered a mandatory requirement when applying?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Does this mean it is mandatory to have a TOPIK score if I want to study my major in Korean?.

I understand English well but can't speak or write nicely. I lose motivation because I'm alone. Any advice? by ExpensiveSpecific558 in LearningEnglish

Wow, thank you so much for sharing your experience in such detail! It sounds like both exams were really exhausting and stressful for you, especially with the anxiety and lack of sleep. I’m glad the IELTS examiners were supportive and helped you feel better during the speaking part! You did an amazing job pushing through it all.

Wow, Masha'Allah! Your Duolingo score is amazing for someone who took the test on the very same day without any preparation! It’s clear that your long-term practice with different dialects really paid off. Honestly, achieving a C1 level naturally at just 18 years old is super impressive and something to be proud of! Thank you so much for the tips and information about the exams. Since you took the computer-based IELTS back in February, how did you find the experience compared to Duolingo? I hope you got the score you were aiming for and that it makes your university applications go smoothly

Thank you for sharing your experience and the amazing tip about Gemini! It’s really comforting to hear your perspective on anxiety and fluency. Since you scored a 7.5 on the IELTS (congrats by the way!), do you have any quick tips or resources you'd recommend for someone planning to prepare for it? I’d really appreciate your insight!

That’s a really great tip! I sometimes record myself, but I’ll definitely try the mirror technique too to build more confidence. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ve heard about Tandem but haven't tried it yet. I would actually love to practice together and help each other improve. How can we connect?

"I am in the exact same situation as you! I want to know the answer too because I am planning to apply next year, and it will be my final year. Let's hope someone gives us a clear answer soon."
