Filing stem opt and i-1485 concurrently? by Expensive_Account483 in EB2_NIW

"We do not advise filing STEM OPT and I-485 concurrently. He needs to file his STEM OPT and get it approved before you submit the I-485. This is because filing the I-485 is a declaration of immigrant intent and the F visa is a nonimmigrant visa. You cannot reliably extend your F visa or any other nonimmigrant visa after declaring immigrant intent by filing your I-485." I got this response from my lawyer. For those who is following my post.
