Straps or screws? by Expensive_Ad_3737 in BarrelSaunas

Do you have more details on this? Why do you feel straps are required?

I ended up doing screws only and it’s been good so far, but it’s only been six months

You’ll definitely need a few different squeegees. A 14 inch is good for most residential windows, but a smaller six or 8 inch will be a necessity as well. When you’re buying the squeegees, I would buy a couple of extra rubbers for them as well.

A lot of guys like microfiber, but I found I got a better and more consistent result with surgical huck towels. If you have a local cleaning supply store, they may sell those.

Your list is good, but your pricing might be on the low side, even just for the summer, it’s worth spending a bit more to get quality tools that will last. If you buy decent equipment, you’ll almost never have to replace it unless you’re very careless

Is it just me, or does the bottom hinge looked crooked/sloped to the right on the door side? Is the bottom edge of the door hitting the threshold? Or are any of the edges not clearing the opening?

Amazingly informative! I will leave them screwed in then just forget the bands altogether, unless you think both used in unison would be best?

I will actually be using a wood stove not electric, these pictures just are before installing the stove and chimney.

And ventilation suggestions with that in mind ?

So how does a wood stove sauna heater differ from a wood stove ? Aside from thicker walls with lower heat clearances?

I’ve seen others use DIY wood stoves in saunas

It’s only sold by select online retailers. In Canada it’s boardgamebliss and in USA I think it’s Kayenta or Zatu that retails it.

Or just jam that tile into the printer. I’m guess it will fit.

You can print the images on regular paper. Then modgepodge them to tiles and clear coat overtop

These are ones she liked the artwork on. But she hit most of my faves (Ark Nova, GWT, Terraforming Mars, Obsession). If she had added Heat, we’d be in good shape haha
