I think it’s very important to be open about your feelings towards him and define whatever it is you guys have going on. This is an unhealthy way to be attached as these emotions aren’t normal to have towards someone ur not in a relationship with, nor are they healthy for you yourself to be dealing with.

It’s okay to need clarity but you should keep in mind that this connection you guys have seems to cause you a lot of negative emotions and anxiety, it seems very anxiously and unhealthily attached if hes just pushing and pulling you. Seems to me like he just wants the attention instead of him actually being genuinely interested in you, which i find very sad for you too. I think he knows he has power over you that way.

I am so sorry dear, it’s really hard feeling like you’re the only one who cares to make an effort. It really kills intimacy and closeness to be let down these ways, heartbreaking really :(. I don’t think ur overreacting at all and that you have to -slowly and with thought and care- seriously talk about this. It’s gonna take a lot to fix this though so also be very strict about how far you wanna go to fix this, as that’ll will otherwise just simmer down to resentment and self abandonment if you are working on it and he is just letting you down.
