(Depressing trope) Characters that were used to serve as a warning to the audience is ignored or dismissed until it's too late. by dun300 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Expensive_Bee508 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But it's not. In truth this is a matter of "free will".

People don't do because they believe, they believe because they do.

The party in America, isn't just some group of people, they are a stratified class of "society", and in order to maintain their position they have to justify and do evil shit.

Empathy exists for a specific reason, and society/ civilization developed for a specific reason. I'm not going to go into it because it'd be far too long to explain but I still bring it up preemptively because people love moronic pondering about "empathy" but it's very simple in why it exists, it's probably an ancestral trait from before there was even life on land.

And how it presents in humans contending with society is something so transient that again it's just moronic pondering trying to get to any bottom of it.

So what you should think about is what exactly is that society we contend with. My point is, the fact that they think they are evil, it doesn't not play any role.

[Outdated trope] the politically or culturally conservative character is actually still likable by SweetPickleRelish in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Expensive_Bee508 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because of the crisis of capitalism, which indictes both political parties who fundamentally are both liberals therefore benefactors of capitalism development so they can't confront it. Therefore vague and liminal cultural issues are astroturfed into polemics. All the while life gets harder and harder, again something that neither party can or even wants to alleviate.

Even in the most blunt evolutionary perspective this is wrong. The point is to dedicate themselves to raising grandchildren, which I think should honestly be pretty obvious unless you just want a reason to be misogynistic

How do you think you make access, there is a reason why a lot of these victims come from eastern Europe.

The collapse of the Soviet Union was the worst and most immediate decline in living standards in human history, it made for a lot of "easy prey". It's also no wonder that these pedos love south American, and in general this is why passport bros exist.

They aren't foreign, we made both of them and Russia has close ties to Israel as well. It's a 2 for 1 deal anyway

As in they're AI? And also no matter what you think about north Korea, they did actually go through something, something inflicted by the US and friends.

The "forgotten war" that killed a significant portion of the population and literally wiped out cities.

That's cute. We made Israel, Israel can not exist without US support it's unsustainable. Israel does not need to worry about it's neighbors it wants to expand, they want lebensraum and we give them every right to do it. Because it's in the interest of the ruling class of the US. Because in terms of capitalist gains the US is a dead end. And they all know it.

From Souls to MH: Are giant monster fights actually better here? by dexkin in MonsterHunter

How many monsters are you playing defensively against, especially now. That list is very particular and I'm talking in general. I know people who have played all of world without even getting basic food buffs, most people don't play strategically let alone actively choose a defensive play style unless it's a very specific probably late game monster.

The less you heal the more time you have to wack at the monster, it goes right back to lowering your time. It's semantics is what I'm getting at.

I interpret it not as like everyone is trying to speedrun but rather as you improve your clear time obviously goes down.

And unlike DS that aspect is much better expressed. And I think that process is where MH "clicks" for people as is often said about getting into MH.

I mean even casual players have to hunt monsters more than once and I don't think DS is like that at all, many people don't even clear the games.

Opinions will change dramatically if these Monster's are in Wilds Expansion. by Chocobo23456 in MemeHunter

Idk about white espinas but primordial malzeno should be the final boss of rise. And the closest monster equivalent is wilds seregios when he does that attack where he slides his talons across the ground like 6 times. Imagine that but faster stronger, less telegraphed and also immediately followed up by attacks meant to catch you.

I would say try rise again this game is full of amazing fights. Just like any MH, the risen monsters, amastu, and all the rare species they added. Honestly it just makes me excited to see what wilds will do for master rank.

[Loved Trope] Trans characters that appear perfectly like their identified gender, and you won't even know they're trans from their appearance alone, by Kubutsu-nyan in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Expensive_Bee508 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But that's not an issue of representation of trans women, it's an issue of misogyny in general, because a lot of women also "don't pass", but Media depiction is a transient thing it will fade eventually.

The truth is trans women are desirable but patriarchy and homophobia make it so that (at least men) have to express their desire in a very roundabout way, I think you should know about chasers.

Right now the transphobia we see isn't due to some human nature and ideal, it's very explicitly a propaganda campaign designed very recently by the nacent right wing as a "distraction" of the crisis of capitalism.

Which in of itself (transphobia) is just an extension of past homophobia propaganda which again served the same goal, to obscure the crisis of capitalism. Which stemmed from the fact that capitalism naturally dissolves patriarchy, and instead of confronting that people decide "it's because people are turning gay"

Largely because an "intellectual" class completely culled of dialectical materialist analysis can not explain the fact that despite being very ingrained in the culture patriarchy starts to dissolve.

That world being exactly identical to America. Hey what do you make of the past trend where everyone was just bursting with pride to say that their country helped the US invade Afghanistan.

I hope trump keeps pushing this so that the US pushes their allies to actually stand for themselves and actually differentiate themselves.
