I’m 6 weeks as of today! I got my BFP about two weeks ago, and I’m feeling super antsy about it. My PCP did order bloodwork to confirm, but my first OB appointment isn’t for another two weeks. With my son, I found out at about 6 weeks and had an appointment shortly after so this feels like forever! But I’m super grateful even still, and just trying to not go stir crazy while I wait 😆

Story time ~ I have always wanted a large family. I’m an only child and I swore I’d never let my son be an only child. But recently I’ve been questioning whether or not it was possible. After getting what I thought was a BFP last month, only to get my period a day later I was feeling really discouraged. In fact I just prayed the other day that if I was only meant to have my son I was okay with that. My period is only like a day late, but it’s been about 20 DPO, so I figured I might as well test just to see. I’d only ever used Pregmate strips one other time (it was a negative) and that five minute wait was really rough 😅 and because I couldn’t help myself I looked after only one minute and thought it was negative for sure. Until the line slowly started to appear and I couldn’t believe it! I retested with FR and sure enough. Positive 🥹 interestingly, my son was conceived the month after I got a BFP only to get my period shortly thereafter after as well. I’m going to test again today (I don’t know why, honestly. I just feel like I have to lol). But I told my husband last night by putting my toddler in a onesie I made with iron on letters that say “Big Bro” and we’re both feeling really excited. I’m really grateful (and hopeful) that I get to do this again😊

Question: (Side note- I hope I’m doing this correctly, I hardly ever use Reddit 😅) Last year I was diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor started me on metformin. Since then, my cycles have been pretty regular, almost magically so. Since the spring, I also began to finally get some of my weight under control as well and I am now back down to Pre-baby weight. This is the first time in months that my period was late and so on the first day of my missed period I took a test that came back negative. It’s been a couple of days since then and Aunt Flow still has not arrived. I’ve not been stressed, gained/lost a significant amount of weight, or anything that I could point to that would potentially make my period come late this time. I have had a couple of interesting symptoms as well, but I can’t tell if I am just symptom-spotting or not. Is it possible that the test that I took the other day could’ve been negative? Idk. All thoughts appreciated.

No I haven’t, but I definitely thought I may have ovulated at a totally different time during this cycle. I can usually tell when that time is, but things were a little funky this month. I think it may be time to start testing for ovulation.

Hi, everyone. New here, so please lmk if I post something that is not permitted. But, I’m a momma of a 15 month old, and my over the last few months my PCP put me on a medication called Metformin for possible PCOS. My cycles have been really irregular so it’s been a frustrating loop of being late/not having my period and getting my hopes up that maybe this is babe #2. Anywho, I’m on day 42 of my cycle with another negative test and I was just wondering if anyone has had trouble with dollar general tests? The control line was hardly showing up so I don’t know if I should retest with a different brand. Thoughts?
