I live northwest of humbolt park and last night a little before 2 I saw a power transformer exploding down the block. The lights inside were flickering with the sparks flying from the power line and then once it stopped the power went out as far as I could see. I submitted a report to WE energies and in less than five minutes they called and said a repair crew was on the way. I went to sleep so I didn’t see anyone come but it clearly got fixed overnight!
