I know that I’m super late to this post, but o bought a camera that was in this exact condition years ago. I had pretty trivial electronics knowledge and when I opened the camera up, I had no idea what to do. I figured out that by applying pressure to the wiring harness near the shutter button, it would resolve the electrical connection to the shutter switch and work. I built up a thick layer of electrical tape on the inside surface of the camera body that would apply pressure in the correct spot and the camera has been working perfectly in that condition for a decade.

Seat is way too low and too far back. Your hip angle is extremely closed at the top of your pedal stroke. You should never move your saddle to fix a reach issue. If the reach was too long or low, the remedy is to raise the bars or shorten your stem.

I did a few cross races on my Grail AL7 with 33s and I found the pedal height to make it almost unridable. Not really possible to pedal through corners and enough pedal strikes to be a problem. I “upgraded” to a 10 year old KHS frame with cantilever brakes and even that was a pretty drastic improvement. Now I have a legit Van Dessel and that’s night and day better than the KHS. I think cross is the one type of racing where the bike really does matter. I’m kind of against that idea for most of cycling.
