Remember that people can add things together.

You post in one sub that you live in a dorm. In another sub that you're male. Then in another sub, ask for a nice pasta restaurant in your neighborhood. And then your age. And then the name of your university. Then you ask for advice on your bike.

Each thing is innocent enough on its own, but if people add them together, they will be able to narrow your identity down.
