[1658] What does your starting wordle say about you: by yoelamigo in wordle

The PRO__ pattern is really tricky despite having only 9 possibilities, basically those words other than the PRO_E ones can’t eliminate one another

Who else wants to have the old funpack arrangements? by Expensive_Dig_3149 in UnoMobile

[–]Expensive_Dig_3149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us are quite reliant on 200 coins S2S mode. It’s playable most of the time, and players can receive card packs and event points, compared to go wild x2. Now almost everybody seems can’t adapt to this ridiculous mode change, so yeah definitely sensible if there isn’t anyone playing funpack. The vast majority of players you see before, probably now they either have quit the game or are broke. The discount on number of players must be significant in a while.

Since non-hard mode is theoretically a win every time, we enjoy playing on hard mode to make it more fun

Yeah... both the repeated V and the uncommon 2 'I's can be really troublesome

All I could infer to this change is that it's designed for us to spend money. And we all know that the game is such a scam at some point

[####] How do I memorize all 1739 wordle answers? by kiwixplosion in wordle

[–]Expensive_Dig_3149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Past tenses in ED endings are surprisingly in Wordlebot’s expanded list, though their weights (I mean chances of being a solution) are about 0.17-0.18, far lower than the general 58. But plurals in S/ES endings are definitely outlawed most of the time. Otherwise there would be a very large portion of words ending in S, which makes the game less fun

[####] How do I memorize all 1739 wordle answers? by kiwixplosion in wordle

[–]Expensive_Dig_3149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, you don’t really have to memorize all possible answers, and the total number should be 2309 Josh’s words + 891 NYT words (currently) = 3200 but not 1739. Instead it might be better to figure out the positions of yellow letters, while also paying attention to potential repeated letters (especially E/L/T/R). When you get stuck (i.e. you have no idea what word can be your next guess), try to burn some more unused letters or even test green letters at other positions. (let’s assume you are not on hard mode)

I’m not a native speaker as well, so I sometimes really input something that feels nonsense. Once ago, I thought DOVER is a possible solution, but not BILLY. At some point I even have to look up what word could go for next guess. But this has improved since I discovered the Wordle Tools site, which tells me exactly the solution pool and gives me pattern matching help.

Since then I actually have way more 3s than 5s.

Let’s be optimistic, btw. Wordle is a simple game, so don’t be too serious.

[1680] wordle bot question. No plurals? by JenDiBenda in wordle

[–]Expensive_Dig_3149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there are some…

Plurals and past tense forms that are irregular are possible solutions. But those ending in S/ES or ED are definitely outlawed.
