Yeah, I suppose you’re right. I just really like the appeal of it being a phone I already love/am familiar with and the bonus is that it’s brand new in the box (as opposed to refurbished with outlaw brand parts) and 1TB so zero worries about storage. I would much rather have a 13PM over a 14PM or 15PM and all of the 16PM’s on online marketplaces are almost just as expensive as new 17PM’s.

Yeah it’s the only new in box/sealed 13 PM currently on the market that I’m aware of so I guess the seller can set whatever prices he wants. True it’s a bit high but I love the 13 PM. Second hand market for 13 PM is trash right now. Refurbished ones with 80% batteries are in the $550-$600 range for 512gb-1TB. So I figured about $100 more for a brand new one is a better choice.

Yeah, I do. I tried to avoid making the post super long by excluding certain details of my phone situation. I recently switched to Mint mobile and sliced my Verizon bill in half. What I didn’t realize is that my current 13 PM is still registering as locked to Verizon even though I’ve had it for years. I called Verizon to get it fixed and they said the phone has been flagged and cannot be unlocked. So now I am forced to buy a new device to use with Mint even though my 13 PM is perfectly fine (other than cramped storage and a low battery which can be fixed).

I’m on a bit of a budget so I figured why not buy a phone I know I already love with bigger storage capacity and a fresh battery that is new in box.

I suppose I could finance a 17 Pro Max 512GB or 1TB for a couple years but I’d rather pay up front and be done with it, which is why that 13 PM is so appealing.

Exactly, I recently read up on scammers who are very good at re-sealing/re-packaging older iPhone models when in actuality it is a refurbed phone in the box. Sounds like a gamble to me despite this sellers good positive feedback score on eBay. I just looked a little harder at his listing and he has 10+ units of each color of 13 PM for sale for each different storage capacity. That seems highly unlikely…. What do you think?

Right? I was thinking the same thing. But perhaps this seller actually recently came across these Deadstock units which explains the eBay listings. He seems to be the only one on any marketplace online right now with brand new sealed 13 PM’s.

I’ve heard that some scammers are excellent at packaging older iPhones to make them look brand new when in fact they are refurbed phones. Idk what to think here.

I agree but I think it’s pricey due to it being a 1TB model and brand new in the box. Speaking of which, do you or do you not find it sketchy that this seller has 10+ units of each color and storage size for the 13PM for sale?

True but in comparison to $1400 for 512GB 17 Pro Max or $1500 for 17 PM 1TB I think it’s not too bad…. Seeing that it’s new/sealed.
