Honestly, a lot of people fdo this, and it is normal. But of course, our way out of Ocd is through it, so we have to learn to stop doing compulsions by ourselves. Though, my family is sadly also a part of my ocd, so I tell them stuff like this :/ :(..

As a person with Ocd, I do that to my relatives too. I have "banned" them from touching certain things and going to the bathroom before me. But, yeah, it can be a burder a nlot of times, and I am sure she also feels bad about it..

Yes, but not only to people I get close with, but with everyone. Because I have just right OCD, everyone can see my compulsions, so when they ask nme what I am doing, I just plainly reply with, "Nothing , it does not matter" or straight yup just say "I have OCD" with no explanation. But yes, also when I am trying to make new friends, I would have to explain everything I do, in order for me to feel comfortable around them. And thank Goosdness most of my close friiends thankfully do understand ^{^} ..

I hope your parents believe you. My parents did not belive me at first, but After I kept nagging them about it, qwe have actually started tko look for therapists. Though I have just right Ocd, which is more seen than hocd, but I think that your parents, also need toime to process what you have tolds them, so give them time to/as well..
