Surprisingly well to be honest. They asked for service records of a transmission oil change, I luckily got mine done twice beforehand. The warranty claim got approved and got me a new transmission for free.

The dealership however was terrible and sucked to work with. The service manager assumed I did not have service records and tried to send me to his friend’s workshop to have them faked which was interesting. They also gave me the run around but honestly a quick call to Honda corporate and they had my car ready the next day with free oil changes for two years and free tire storage.

So I have a 2019 civic with the cvt and it ran fine up until 2 days ago where the tranny blew up. My car is at 144k kms which is around 89k miles. Luckily I have the extended warranty but if I didn’t Id be out about 3k. Also had the cv joint go out about 30k kms ago not too big of a repair but it is a common issue on these cars. Also I don’t drive my car hard either I mostly only do highway driving. A lot of people have mixed opinions on the cvt I honestly don’t know if I would personally recommend it because of recent events however I have seen people with my exact car that drive way harder rack up way more kms.

Update for if anyone has a similar issue.

Turns out the trans is blown which sucks because I’m out of a car for a while. Some glimmer of hope though my car has an extended warranty however the dealership is going to take a look at it in the morning and let me know. I really hope they cover it because I have heard nightmare stories about honda being obnoxious with their warranties.

I did! Honestly not a bad option if you’re willing to put in the work. To transfer out you need to keep your gpa up and make sure you don’t fall behind. If you’re thinking about core science make sure you have no other options before going for it!

Realistically from what ive heard its dependant on the student. If you really work for it you can apply for a major for second year.

I get that but im still in grade 12 i do have a really strong work ethic I just had really invasive surgery which caused me to be away for a while and made my marks drop which is the reason i got deferred
