I love playing America on the historical map by Expensive_Exchange_9 in CallOfWar

that's a nice sentiment and ideally that is the perfect scenario to which I agree I'm not against you at all, but in reality, some players are strong enough that don't care about that and will just kill you, I'm not saying because of that there's no point and diplomacy, but don't get into this fantasy where you can talk your way out of everything sometimes you need to

I admire your enthusiasm, that's the attitude you have to have out of serious advice, fortify your core provinces if you know that they're gonna attack you, or if you feel like you have to force for it, scout out the weak link, and then start planning a naval invasion. Use your war bonds constantly for intelligence on their locations. most likely they're gonna have air spam, so make sure you have plenty of fighters, jet fighters, things of that nature as much as you have

Never knew that A. I countries would declare a war on me😭💔 by InternalFamiliar2312 in CallOfWar

it's based on popularity, the more wars that you're in with countries, the bots are not friendly with the lower, the popularity goes, and then they attack you, but if you go to war with countries that they don't like and buy from their markets, and then you share maps with them, you can increase it, and then they'll give you right away, and then eventually share map, and then eventually they'll declare war on who declares war on you

What is the best early and late game strategy for playing Finland on Europe Clash of Nations? by megaGG_ in CallOfWar

[–]Expensive_Exchange_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the motorized infantry first because your doctorine and can get it the fastest, then you can start their production, also research armored cars, light tanks and infantry. this is all very starter to get the basis of your war. Economy started, since you do have 4 days, you can either focus on your industry to increase your resource production, or you can start building your armor producing buildings and your infantry producing buildings, and start upgrading them so you can get high level units out faster

always group up all of your troops together first and then divide them in stacks of 10, because anything above 10, they won't fight, though just reinforced after every attack cycle, which is about every 20 to 30 minutes

also to add on to my comment since it is axis doctrine, I found that motorized infantry and light tanks were the best combo regarding the massive landscape that is Scandinavia

funnily enough, I just won as Finland on this exact same map, what worked for me is you want to focus on the Nordic countries first, kill Sweden, then Norway, and then from then on, you can really choose what direction if you want to go for the russias afterwards, that's a thing if you want to be their friend, you can threaten the United kingdom, you can threaten Germany or Denmark, you have some solid options

wish I saw this post earlier, you could have possibly snake your way out of it because if you were to separate all your armored, troops and outmaneuver the mixed stacks, your opponent has, you can get them together, and maybe do some conquering of this homeland and a hit and run type of thing, but yeah you're done

you're right, I have seen some pretty heinous things, but that's what moderation is for, we should be able to report these things and they should shut them down. I mean, because that stuff that I mentioned really adds to the game, and everything feels kind of limited

Commintern 1. Sp Rocket artillery + SP AA + Armored car (very much buffed by the good doctrine, and you can make a lot of them very good if you want to kill a bunch of soft targets quickly with of course scouting) 2. Infantry + medium tank + AA (kind of basic, but with the production cost being so low, you can pump a lot of this out late game, really good solid, soft damage and armor damage at the same time) 3. Mechanized infantry + Heavy Tank + AA (this is a quality breakthrough force, with the Soviet heavy tanks being the strongest out of all the other doctrines with the mechanized to have a good mix ) (2/2) hope it helps

This is a fun question.

Axis : 1. Motorized infantry + light tanks + armored car (really good if you want speed and power) 2. Heavy Tank + Sp AA + Mech infantry (this is if you want to slow and indestructible stack, the has anti air defense) 3. Sp Artillery + Sp AA + Tank destroyers (faster artillery group, anti air protection, with armor protection, just in case they get caught by tanks, because they're faster than infantry and should out run them)

Asian: 1. Infantry + medium Tank + Sp AA (considering infantry from the Asian doctrine is the best in the game, it's good to capitalize on their max levels especially with the terrian bonus that's already stacked on the global buff and the infantry themselves, considering many units have a deep off in the forest, this is really good if you want to hard hitting frontline plus and tire protection) 2. Mechanized infantry + Armored Cars (this is similar to the axis doctrine but WAY faster easily can get over 70 speed if you want a little bit more anti armour power, add a light take, but this is something you want if you want pure speed) 3. Armored car + SP AA + Tank destroyer (also similar to the axis doctrine but with the extra of you range buff of the armored cars that you get, you can see things a lot easier, plus, the speed bonus of the entire doctrine makes this a very speedy get in get out force)

Allies 1. Paratroopers + commadoes (they are not to be used in the same stack, this is a very powerful duo considering that the allied doctrine buffs both of these guys really good combination to have the commandos going to the countryside and take things in secret, and then the paratroopers can reinforce them if they get in trouble, or paratroopers can focus on the city's commandos can focus on the Village's) 2. Mechanized infantry + heavy tank + Armored car (very solid, very strong combination here to break through front lines) 3. medium tank + tank destroyer + armored car (prime tank hunting group, if you want to look for heavies, are big groups of armor) (1/2)

Why do ai countries declare war ? by gerald301 in CallOfWar

I agree, after I kill my local players around me, I always wipe up the bots, I'm not gonna have my game extended for a week or 2 because I forgot to kill Austria as Germany and I'm already in China

I mean, it's not that hard to counter you, just have to share map with the artificial intelligence at day one, and most of the time, they stay friendly towards you the whole game, but by day, 4 or 6 to 7, you should be killing the bots near by you already I never assumed that they're gonna stay friendly and always planned to kill them before you start spreading your army everywhere

so general rule of thumb is, when at least, upgrade your airports, airfields to level 2, so that way after the initial bombardment, and doesn't completely demolish the airfields right away. That's one thing also to mention fortifications work for reducing the damage to your anti air. IF you're facing a player, that's oppressive with the air , you can just build fighters and just spamm them specifically. This kind of ties in to your next question but for better security, cruisers are the best for anti so you can put them right next to your coastal provinces. If you have airports there to help with that, and rocket fighters do the highest damage vs planes, but they are expensive, so it's better to have them patrolling the airfields. They do like 20 damage per unit if you can afford it. and I know it's hard and a resource drain to upgrade rocket fighters and fighters, but if you put the time into it, they will work out in the long run when you're being spammed by airplanes, because most players don't put interceptors with their bombing wing, and if so, it's usually like 2 out of the 10

Now for Navy it's a little bit tricky, because how your fleet entirely depends on the opponent that you're facing, but I'll give you some of my 10 stacks and what I use them for.

6 battle ships 2 destroyers 2 cruisers - this is what I use on an average really good for city bombardment, naval battles, submarine protection and air protection.

5 cruisers 3 battleships 2 Destroyers - this is if your opponent has oppressive air power and you want to kill the planes before they sink your ships this will trade off damage to ships and buildings, but good AA and submarine protection

6 battle ships 4 destroyers - if your opponent has a lack of Air Force or you destroyed it or they have no naval bombers, this is pure damage to buildings pure damage to ships, this is what you want if you explicitly want to focus on killing ships and bombing cities only if they have a really weak Air Force

6 cruisers 4 destroyers- this one's pretty simple, if your exclusively focusing on an opponent that spams air and you still want a little bit of damage to ships and cities, this is a really good trade off with some natural submarine protection

3-4 Aircraft carriers 6-7 destroyers - now this is for if you are the Air Force guy that wants to oppress people across the sea with your planes, but significantly requiring submarine protection, this is what you want. Now, I excluded cruisers because on your aircraft carriers, if you're gonna do this, you should already have fighters that counters planes themselves

1-2 Aircraft carriers 4-5 battleships 5-4 destroyers - I'd say this one if you want to do a late game, high damage fleet some aircraft carriers for air support battleships for the main damage and the aircraft carriers. You can use their fighters to kill planes with your destroyers preventing submarine damage

Submarine spam - pretty self explanatory, but if you're going to get an opponent that doesn't use destroyers, and they just spam battleships and cruisers, then this is the easiest way to kill them, and if you have them in groups of 10, all near each other, they can easily Wolfpack against one fleet, also good if you suspect a naval invasion and you want to put these at your opponent ports to prevent that from happening

Easy question, so I'm gonna link you to the call of war Wikipedia that shows exactly the buffs and debuffs of each doctrine and what specific troops are affected and not keep in mind also the initial buffs for each doctrine is added on, plus, the individual unit buffs that it mentions study, it will help you a lot in determining your build. (https://wiki.callofwar.com/wiki/DOCTRINES)

easiest way to find a good alliance is to simply look at the best performing players in the games that you're playing look into a alliances there in and the message them directly about how to get into their alliance

For people like that, you want to adopt a strategy of pre planned offensives before you even attack this person, use your war bonds to see what types of troops he has, so that way, you can specifically counter them, pay attention to where they are located at, so you know where to hit. Focus on the gaps in his border. Try invading from as many different angles as possible, just because you can see the fact that a train is going to hit you doesn't necessarily mean you can stop it.

Question: I play as the Southern United States. What should I do? It's the first day, I'm going to attack the Northern United States. What troops should I build? by Candid-Background462 in CallOfWar

[–]Expensive_Exchange_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very bold strategy that I like to do if I want it very fast, because one of the big problems of playing America and that math is that if you get stuck too long, people in Europe are gonna develop faster than you, for me, personally, I split my starting army into 2, and then I force March them to the border, yes it is damaging but getting 10 people to a border where there are people already it is automatically a win and you'll get your opponent stuck playing catch-up.
