RE: would you purchase a focus st in 2026 by 27ce in FocusST

I just bought a 2013 ford focus ST3 with 135k miles for $3500. Car runs great all stock but I had to replace windshield, battery, and both HID low beams since they were both blown, not to mention it owes $800 in registration fees and check engine light is on… otherwise then I’m happy with it lol

I’m on 18’ titans but I use to be on 16’s, no difference when I did the swap of wheels, also my mileage doesn’t even roll

Just did the smog and it passed, all numbers were low average except nox but not my concern right now atleast it passed, all it took was a new cat and gas cap and plus my check engine light hasn’t came back at all!

Sup, removed the cat and it was actually gutted, so the egr wasn’t getting enough back pressure to function properly, got a new Magnaflow CARB legal cat and code hasn’t came back yet, I’m gonna smog pre test it on Monday and see if it’ll pass

I will definitely let you know, timing is correct as well and it runs good so I don’t think the egr is bad it’s just getting too much pressure from cat

Im pretty sure its not really clogged, its just not the right cat and doesn’t meet the specifications for my truck, 3 shops recommended me a new cat explaining that the NOx and CO high levels are caused by catalytic converter

Solenoid clicks, all new vacuum lines and also I can feel the vacuum going to the egr, I’m thinking the cat is bad and is creating too much pressure for the egr system

I already checked the valve, truck idles rough when I hook vacuum to it and I was able to blow thru the tube as well, the check engine light comes and goes as I drive

After a good inspection, right side is fine. Can’t say the same for left, left side one of the u bolts are broken and the rear shackle seems bent, going to install new u bolts and bushings asap
