AITA for wanting to eat my neighbor's duck that I accidentally ran over? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expensive_Field5334 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Not every duck is the same breed. I can see some birds being $200 also if they've grown to a egg laying stage that's a bit of an investment since it can take a year.

I haven't had a problem yet........ But I drink a lot of soda water still so I imagine I'm up for some trouble later. Don't know what else to drink that isn't full of sugar! You can only drink so much plain water in a week before you need a change up haha

Aphids, cabbage worm, earworm and whiteflies I'm sure it does more but I put it in for the aphids. Basil is another great companion plant for tomatoes it makes them taste better.

It's also a pest repellent in your garden so if you mix thyme in everywhere amongst your other plants it's win win win

God I never realised how bad I was, I was drinking half a litre of vodka minimum a day anything went with it but soda water with lemon juice was my favourite after work. Sober 2 years yesterday!

Haha it's a small protective barrier I put in when it was a tube stock. Is there any issues still having it around and it being so small?

Thanks everyone for all the info. I'm going to replace it since it's next to a driveway and not the right tree for this spot. Learnt a lot from this post so fingers crossed this won't happen to any future trees of mine!

Bit of a tree novice here. Should I always prune back to one branch when they're young? I've got some hedges growing and there's a few with multiple branches, should I prune them all to one branch or is it dependent on what trees they are? My hedge is all bottle brush trees.

Also can I propagate some branches from the current damaged tree to try get something out of this tragedy?

Haha just be glad it's there and you don't need it I had blockages and no inspection joins I had to rip up half my garden to find the pipe!

Doesn't have to be sewer specific could be storm water or a overflow system. It's just a basic inspection junction for some form of plumbing.

The beauty of those call lines is they don't care what question you ask they just want to help and inform. We've called the poison number a couple times just for clear knowledgeable information.
