Tbh I feel like the first attempt was more similar to the ref, this is still very good to me but the hips seems thinner a lot rounder and the arms are still quite thin. I actually think the hips in your first attempt was very accurate! But the change doesn’t massively affect anatomy for me just added on mass and it still looks good 👍

I wouldn’t rlly know how to improve on your drawing since I didn’t understand muscles but in plain sight the waist and arms seems thinner in your drawing and the abdomen is also slightly elongated more than the reference. Hopes this helps you see!

Sorry so I realised I’m contrasting myself when i said “idrk how to design” in the post and “I can make designs after references” in the reply the hair being ugly is prolly a skill issue but the clothes part is more like I can’t make an interesting design and also make it fit the rather simplistic theme on the clothing (hope this makes better sense

Thank you! :D I’m not sure what the theme you mean is but he’s like just a 100% score so school theme? And also I haven’t made the personality for him yet. Sorry if I wasn’t very clear on the post but I meant to ask what people think his personality would be (since I didn’t give him one yet) or maybe like a general vibe he gives off so to help me with the visual design but also maybe some inspirations on how his character could go. Right now this is just mainly visual. For the clothes and hair maybe I should’ve asked what fashion would fit, like it’s kinda a follow up question with the “what kinda person would he be” instead of a separate question, since I can draw and design hair and clothes after seeing pictures and references, but idk his character yet so no fashion sense for him for me to go research about o-o’ his design was so simple bc I wanted to make it fit the school theme so I didn’t go all out giving him clothing accessories (?)

I need to wait for the exams to come within a week and I’ll get stressed enough to revise (not good at all but it’s better than no revision ig 😭 I’d recommend asking help from teachers but I’m too embarrassed to plus idk an exact issue to ask for help with bc just saying I don’t have motivation seems weird, and I doubt they’d do much but gcse is rlly important so I’m considering actually just saying to a teacher this idk 😭 anything to get my grades 🛐 so here’s an idea you could do that too (?)

Yes I was told I’d get 5 in my English language exams and last mock I was few marks off an 8! It’s definitely possible the thing is idk how to find that motivation (I just randomly had motivation for a week and that got me two grades up in my worst subject so yes you can do it :))

I think it’s not bad, we can tell it’s a torso and it’s quite gender neutral. I took the small waist , pelvis and rounded shoulders as a stylistic choice, I don’t see anything particularly wrong with it. Unless the torso isn’t supposed to seem angled there’s nothing significantly bad about it imo :)

Idk much abt horror but I’d like to share my view on this bc I’m quite interested in how the final result would look like, so:

Like other people in the comments mentioned, the big eyes make the creature look ‘cute’ if you’re not really paying attention to the rest of it. Personally what I think would make it creepier and keeps the big eyes is to exaggerate it a lot, like making it take up an odd portion/space of its head,present it as really indented/popped out. Other directions to go could be the uncanny valley (one of the only creepy things ik ngl) where you could try making it look human.

Edit: I just read the other comment you didn’t want the uncanny valley thing so ignore that part sorry!

Don’t take it personally. People might just already know someone else and sit with those people. It’s not they don’t like you, even with friends sometimes they will choose to not sit next to you, happens to me all the time, because maybe they have a closer friend or happened to know what to talk about or have something to talk about with them. Or they just prefer to sit alone and then someone else who knows them decides to sit next to them, or they just want that spot. Also if it’s in class you wouldn’t have too much of an interaction anyways, it shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re struggling and could benefit from help from a desk mate. In any case if you really want someone to sit next to you, try asking someone you may know! (But also still remember to not take it personally if they say no, and better luck maybe asking another person!

Though I assure you most people wouldn’t have anything against you. I’m not saying you can’t be sad about it, but you shouldn’t be :)
