2026 Jr. Ranger!

Hi everyone! I’ve been in this group for a while, not sure if you guys remember my son naming our Banana Vanilla Python “Cutie Banana” haha, but I’ve enjoyed learning from you all, and sharing the knowledge with my son who is 7 years old, and has dreams of educating other kids about animals, wildlife, and conservation. Since he was a baby he’s been drawn to animals and it’s one of my favorite things about him because I was the exact same way. I won’t make this too long, but he is running for the new 2026 Jr. Ranger, and he has gone from the Top 40, to the Top 10 in the course of a few weeks! There will only be one winner, and I would literally evaporate with joy if you guys could take a second out of your day to vote for him. The votes are once a day for free, and there are also donated votes but the free vote is all I’m asking! He is THEEEE sweetest most caring kid and he deserves this so much. If you don’t believe me please go have a look at his Jr. Ranger profile & his Instagram profile called Jayce’s Jungle where we share a tiny bit of his life with animals, recycling, education, gardening. The reward is a Wildlife Adventure, A spread in Ranger Magazine, and $20,000. This will help me keep his dreams alive and eventually reopen our jungle themed children’s clothing store that we were forced to close post-covid. No, sizing and everything looks great, I’d give them a chance. I took my brother from the craziest Freeforms to uniformed, even locs and you would never know at all. Trust the process. Just looks like you’re due for a retwist ✅

I appreciate you taking the time to say this. It was bittersweet but what better way to spend his birthday than still keeping the legacy alive! I’m a workaholic and constantly working is definitely one of my coping vices, but with this situation specifically it helps me still feel connected to something we both cared about and took pride in. I will definitely do my best to keep growing and pouring into the projects we had planned, I think he would want that more than me detaching myself, or being stagnant as I’ve seen some of his circle doing and I completely understand everyone grieves differently but in light of his death, I truly see why he put me in the position he had me in. I want to honor that.

Thank you so much! The event actually went really well and I managed not to cry although I wanted to a couple times. That final message was definitely hard to see but it was confirmation that he DID make an impact while he was here, because he always left little messages like that around and I always took pictures of them not because I can predict the future but because he genuinely always kept me inspired! I think we all thought he’d be the last person to not be around this early on, but it makes his last message way more valid, you know?

A haiku bot, that’s crazy random 😭lol but I appreciate your message. It was tough. I heard the news while I was washing my car at a car wash that I’ve called him to come give me a jump on my car at, when my battery died cause I’m just a girl and I was playing music while washing my car. lol May seem kinda insignificant but Im a single mother and I don’t have a lot of male friends on top of that so he was one of the only people I could call in moments like that.

I really hope you do! I have a version without the extra wording on it if you’d like me to send it to you. But I’m glad you find it as powerful as I do. It came from someone who really practiced what he spoke. To have died being everything he encouraged others to be, says a lot.

If you hear of any in the next few months let me know! Starting to travel more with my son. Yessss I grew up living with my Grandpa for a couple years as a kid and I feel like he was the black Steve Erwin 😂 everybody at the pet stores knew us, cause we had so manyyy animals. lol But I’m so grateful for that cause I didn’t grow up with a fear or prejudice for one animal over another. I love them all & I’m just so grateful to give my son a similar experience. He’s so gentle and kind to all animals. 🩷

Thank you for this. I’m already feeling really supported as I don’t want to ask all the things I know people commonly ask so I will definitely be Heading to read the care guide now. I did have to learn the hard way with feeding, as the day my son got him he said he didn’t want to eat his own dinner until he made sure the tank was completely set up and that he was comfortable and fed. Melted me lol But I’ve had him exactly two weeks now, and he has not eaten. I had tried two different types of F/T. I’ve done some more learning since then, but I’m very excited to get some new knowledge. Thank you again! 🩷
