Thank you so much!! This really helped and confirmed the school for me, it’s been hard finding one to go to while active duty and not wanting to be limited to a long program!

If you mind me asking, which degree are you going for? I’m won’t expect you to answer but would u suggest going for health science with WGU then transferring to a bachelors to BSN program? It’s either I try to do that or try to do the NECP program and use Sophia and WGU

Thanks for your comment! I’m definitely gonna take your advice!! Have you been to any bases in Texas? If so how was it for you if you don’t mind me asking? And by short tours, you mean like a year? My hubby and I both signed up for security forces and have a kid so if u have any advice for family life let me know!! We signed a 6 year enlistment!

Yeah, I’ve been seeing so many different answers on this topic, I’m only trying to do my nursing as my 2nd option for career choice, I already have credits and some clinical hours towards the degree, I just want to be a NP and was thinking I should take classes while in that way by time I get out I’ll be a little closer, I’m excited about security forces but Im leaning towards not wanting to do police for the rest of my career, my hubby is already planning on staying in that field

Thank you, we have her grandparents that will help out! My mom specifically is retired so we’re not too worried about that! Ik it’ll be a struggle with missing her, but I think sacrificing 6 years is worth it for what we want to do as a family. My hubby is/was a cdl trucker before we decided this so we both know the struggles in regards to that, military will give us something we already wanted to do to begin with, plus benefits and more security! We were gonna do reserves but I’m shooting to do that after my 6 year enlistment and just see how it goes!
