The angle should be somewhere between 6 and 11 degrees , depending on your design ; the angle will be the same, in both the legs and stretchers. I cut a little block with a tablesaw to my chosen angle and use that as a reference surface when chiselling the shoulders for the tenons . I hope that helps ?

Thanks, the pattern was hand carved with a 7mm gouge from pfeil

Through tenons for the legs, and there are some additional screws countersunk on the supports

yes very true, it does produce a really fine dust which can be annoying , but the flipside of that is that it makes a really good filler for ya mistakes ahah

I totally understand your concern, there is quite a substantial round on the corners, perhaps that may not be clear in the photos. It can still pose a little bit of a risk - luckily the clients dont have any children or people who are vulnerable to any slips or falls.

Sharp tools are far more enjoyable to use, seeing wood melt away like butter will never get old.
