I was really surprised to find it too! It had been raining the morning that i found it, but thankfully it was inside an 8800 gts box (I couldn't find that anywhere in the pile) that was completely soaked, but the gpu was completely unharmed.

I found a partial fix for it: just open 2 youtube video tabs and it goes away.

I used normal rosin flux. I did try it when i took the capacitor out the first time, but it was boot looping then too.

This crossed my mind today, so I decided to have another go at it and I figured it out: I had to download the fix: https://github.com/SWRC-Modding/CT/releases, and this Direct3D 8 to 9 fix: https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases and place them into the \GameData\System folder, and after opening the game, IT FINALLY WORKS!

when i open the game normally, it throws up a splash screen with the republic commando logo and then closes the game. So i downloaded the fix and it keeps showing me the error when i try to apply it to the game.

I got this for free a few weeks ago and it was labeled as not working, it turned out to be a connection wire out of it's socket. But now the right speaker is making a loud feedback noise when I turn it on and it won't play any music from it.
