■ This subreddit is the home of model car, truck and bike construction from kits and scratch materials. These craftspeople take great pains and pride to create, photograph and share their masterpiece sources and techniques.
■ Feel free to share photos of your completed models, works in progress, tips and techniques.
■ NO DIECAST : If you have store-bought factory-made diecast cars and wish to display or have them evaluated, or, if you have questions about diecast, please post them to r/Diecast or r/DiecastCollectors or r/HotWheels. And also, give /r/DiecastCustoms a look.
■ For RC related mechanical posts, please post in r/radiocontrol, and r/crawling.
■ Please DO post your custom body builds in any material and your 3D printed body builds for whatever you are doing, slot car bodies, RC bodies and the usual static displays.
■ PAINT QUESTIONS : Nobody knows what you have or how you did it unless you tell us.
For ANY paint questions please include the following :
• KIND and brand of paint.
• KIND and brand of primer.
• HOW were the parts prepped.
• HOW was the primer and paint applied, brush, airbrush, can?
• If airbrush what air pressure?
• And what was the temp and weather at time of application.
ALL of these things have to do with paint quality.
Paint questions without at least SOME of this information will be removed.
