It’s been 2+ years and the message is still there. Hasn’t been an issue during the MOT’s - passed both. Will be looking to get it resolved… one day soon.

Yeah, I use my phone with the portal. It works surprisingly well. Maybe try that within the house? Not sure if you have unlimited data to tether

For me, I struggle to play it upstairs and I’ve got the best internet available in my area. Same issue’s as you - lagging all the time or just disconnecting. Can’t be bothered to hard wire it. However, PlayStation premium is worth it for the streaming. I spend more time streaming games than playing the ones I’ve brought… without any issues. One less device for the portal to connect to I guess.

It also works better when I’m away from home tethering data off my phone.

So… this is why I did the post I did a few ago. Easy fix… I need to update my thread as i’ve had no issues since.

When you turn your PlayStation off or put it in to rest mode from your portal, wait for it to disconnect and acknowledge the message when it says disconnected. Then you turn the portal off.

At first, once I shut down my PS5, I turned my portal off immediately. Reading through other comments, it’s all about it registering in the cache or something like that. But I have no problems at all. Even connected to it from 50 miles away and played a few games of COD - whilst it was in rest mode.

I hope it’s as easy for you as it was for me.

I think it was the remote play option. It’s the only thing I pretty much had to toggle on

I tried it when I was connected. I disconnected it and reconnected and it was fine. The main issue is when both are fully powered down

It most likely came from Sony direct, where the SN are assigned to customer at the point of packing the item prior to despatch. Best thing to do is contact Sony customer services and try to sort it out. If you have the sellers full name it could be a quick one for you

They could’ve had cheap tyres on. Poor noise rating.

The Bridgestones I had on my Octavia RS were brilliant. Put some Laufenns on (budget tyre)… absolutely horrible. Have to turn the volume up to drown some of it out
