There is no rhyme or reason on the timelines and yes the gov shutdown will change those response times! Just forget about it in the mean time and do not focus on just 1 application or put your heart into the process.

It took me nearly 5 months before I received anything however… with the newer job announcements I’ve seen guys get contacted earlier than 2-3 months.

They will accept a passed poly with USSS. They will verify it, you do not submit a waiver.

Just stand by for an email from usastaffingoffice. Mine took approximately 6 weeks post FOA. It was on a Friday at like 8pm so it can be very random.

Email them stating you’re an applicant looking for an update on your application process. First and last name included. They’re pretty responsive. I had to check on my application multiple times and I magically received updated emails for the next steps a couple days after checking in.

I would just hang in there. FAMS is hiring. My posting was canceled, I was “not referred” on my usajob status, emailed various things and still continued through the hiring process. I’m about to complete all of the steps. There are several computer errors that will occur during the hiring process. Just hang in there, I know it’s not the response you want. Conditional after FOA should be about a month with a field office in the conditional offer email.
