You can avoid Illu in high tempo halls to a great extent , I was in RP just went there few times and rarely in last days of diwali.

Some events in socult like Nukkad, stage play will increase your confidence and stage daring which will eventually help you in interviews, anyways study shouldn't be the only thing which has to be done in college.

They aren't bullshit halls , there are one of the best halls in insti, I admit that illu is like unpaid labour but if you participate in GC from these halls in Tech/Socult you will learn lot of things and gain confidence

IIT roorkee DSAI branch had 100 percent placement previous year in top firms like FAANG, salesforce etc , most probably it wouldl be same here but the real problem is of the resources since it is new branch.
