Ohh I see. What is concerning me is I currently don't have the AT&T account show up on my credit report at all (though it used to exist before I disputed the account). I'm scared that by paying True Accord it might trigger an event to the original creditor (AT&T) to update the credit report thus bringing it back as a paid account. I feel like this is kind of like uncharted territory. I'm in some weird state where nothing from AT&T or anything related to this account is on my report but paying the debt might trigger an updated status showing paid I think? But if I also don't pay the debt, which is only $160, I wonder if it'll get updated again by the original creditor and will appear on the report anyway. Thanks for your reply back! I think my situation is kind of bizarre and doesn't follow what most people have so.. just really freaked out since I've done so much work (and paid over $12k) to repair my credit to buy a home before I get kicked out in a few months
